Our family has been greatly affected due to unforeseen diseases (breast cancer and Non Ketotic Hyperglycinemia). Brianna Weikel passed away in August 2015 at 33 years old, after her second battle with Breast Cancer. This left my children both a 3 year old boy and a 5 year old girl to experience life without a mother. 2 years and 7 days later our child Barclay passed away after his almost 6 year battle with NKH. After our tragedy, my daughter and I cannot sit idly by while others go at it alone. We (Billy and Briley Weikel) founded Joyful Ventures on a mission to make an impact for families by helping spread awareness, research, and prevention of these diseases by partnering with organizations dedicated to this. Our board members consist of top notch people that love making a difference. Together would like to make an impact on those families that are already struggling due to illness or loss of loved ones by funding programs focusing in this area. If we can spread a little more Joy in this world all of our efforts will be worth it. By the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony we will triumph. Disease has changed our lives; however it will not steal our Joy.

We currently host an annual 5k and Family JoyWalk with pancake breakfast. In the near future we will be adding additional events for people to participate in. Through these events we hope to further our cause while simultaneously bring Joy to those that participate. Sometimes memories are all that is left, so why not create the best! In addition to these events we have decided to bring an offering of custom roasted coffees and an array of items for purchase. If you are a coffee lover we are sure the offerings we have will bring Joy to your cup. Every thing we do will be with the attempt of spreading Joy while contributing to these causes. If we can spread a little more Joy in this world all of our efforts will be worth it.
Although we attempt to bring Joy to anyones life, The two main diseases we focus on making a difference with are Breast Cancer and NKH (Non Ketotic Hyperglycinemia). We aim to BringJoy to others through events. Our events will further enhance organizations that are helping those effected by various diseases. Each Year our board votes on which organizations to contribute the proceeds to. The individual organizations may vary each year, but our commitment to will continue to be to split funds 50% to each disease supported. ( Breast Cancer and NKH)
